BIOGRAPHY

Based at Cornbury Park in the United Kingdom, Jemima Howden stands as one of Great Britain's young rising stars in Eventing and is currently growing her skills and knowledge within the prestigious Talent Training Academy for 2024.

Jemima's innate passion for riding became evident at a young age. Despite being largely self-taught, her dedication to the sport propelled her into the world of eventing. In 2020, she formed a formidable partnership with her new horse, Rolo, then six years old, that same year they completed their first BE 100. Only three years later, they were placed 7th in the Young Rider National Championships CCI-L 3*, which lead to them securing the position of 1st Reserve for the GB Young Rider European Team.

Jemima manages a collection of six exceptional horses, spanning ages 4 to 11. In the coming year, she sets her sights on achieving significant milestones, including completing her inaugural 4* event and aiming to earn a spot on the European team. Simultaneously, she aims to guide her two promising young horses through the Burghley Young Event Horse classes. Later in the season, she anticipates showcasing her skill / competing at Cornbury House Young Horse Championships, an event started by her father David Howden just 4 years ago in COVID and last year was awarded the prestigious Young Horse Championships.

For nearly three years, Jemima has been under the mentorship of Gareth Hughes. Her commitment to excellence is further enriched by ongoing training sessions with equestrian luminaries Laura Collett MBE and Jay Halim, showcasing her dedication to continuous improvement in the competitive world of eventing.
